Senior Instructor Myra Muramoto

Dr. Muramoto is Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Myra is an internationally recognized leader in research on reducing the harms caused by tobacco use and has been the recipient of numerous grants to study the impact of the Helpers Program to empower concerned persons to offer help and assistance to persons interested in quitting tobacco.

Senior Instructor Timothy Connolly

Tim Connolly is a masters prepared registered nurse. He serves as a Research Services Program Manager at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine. Tim directs the research and training teams for the Helpers Program. He has two decades of experience creating and evaluating training models for community-based tobacco control projects, including developing adapted training for behavioral health providers.

Senior Research Professional Janet Spradley

Janet Spradley is a Senior Research Professional in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received her Master of Social Work degree in 2007 from Colorado State University. Most recently, she worked as a clinical social worker at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute where she supported patients and their care partners during treatment for blood cancer. She has worked as a research professional on multiple studies at the University of Colorado including harm reduction efforts in substance use and dissemination of the Nurse-Family Partnership.

Research Professional Trina Ta

Trina Ta is a Research Professional in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received her BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Appalachian State University. She has worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator on multiple industry trials at the University of Colorado. She is also currently a research assistant for Dr. Kevin Mintz at Stanford University School of Medicine. Their work focuses on disability rights advocacy and bioethics. Trina was born and raised in North Carolina. Her hobbies include biking, rock climbing, and snowboarding.

Priscilla Pando

Priscilla Pando is a part-time Research Professional in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor’s at Colorado State University and is now a full-time nursing student working towards her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Denver College of Nursing. Priscilla is passionate about helping others in finding health and happiness. She is very family-oriented and loves to spend her time socializing and/or outdoors.
